Mrs. Frey - College Liaison, Counselor Grade 9, Grade 11
It is my privilege to be counselor for Grade 9 and Grade 11. I have been with Nuview Bridge Early College High School for six years and am excited to be your student’s counselor. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and my graduate degree in Pupil Personnel Services from the University of California, Riverside. I entered the education field after working as a litigation paralegal for twelve years. My family and I have lived in Nuevo for the past fifteen years and love the rural atmosphere. I am committed to your student’s education and will work hard to help them achieve their personal, career, and educational goals.
Ms. Torres - GEAR UP, Counselor Grade 10, Grade 12
Hi, my name is Ms. Torres and I am currently the 10th and 12h grade Counselor. I originally grew up in Northern California in a place called Sunnyvale. When it was time for me to attend college I relocated to southern California and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Riverside in Sociology/Administrative Studies. I then taught for a few years as a middle school and high school Spanish teacher. I also received a Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling along with a PPS Credential from California State University, San Bernardino. I started working with teens from my church many years ago, and have also worked in a Girls Group Home. Working with teens is exciting because no two days are alike. I’m grateful doing what I enjoy and that I’m able to guide students to find their unique paths in life.
