STAR Testing
Parents:
Every Spring, students in grades 9-11 take the STAR tests. Teachers, parents and administrators can use the results to identify strengths and weaknesses in order to improve student learning.
The scores may fall into the following categories: advanced, proficient, basic, and far below basic. The goal in California is to have all students perform at the proficient or advanced level.
The tests measure performance on the California State Standards in the following subjects:
* Mathematics
* English–language Arts
* Science
* History-social science
